Being a parent of a child with a disability, she certainly is in prime position to experience where there is a lacking in support services within our community, and have seen Bec in action first-hand to resolve these issues which include social inclusion and family friendly activities where families can connect for social & emotional support. – George Christensen MP

On behalf of the staff and students at Mackay District Special School, I would like to thank All Abilities Mackay for nominating our school to particpate in the Music Therapy Program. Students from Prep to Year 12 have all been involved. It has been delightful to see the rapport that has developed between the students and Tania. The staff and students have shared so many amazing stories of how students have engaged in the program at differnet levels. The establishment of this toy library would meet an unmet need in this Region. Items are most often costly and difficult to determine whether they will be suitable without a substantial trial period. This toy library would enable parents to assess the suitability of an item without the cost burden of purchase, and would also enable the provision of a range of play and leisure items for a wider target audience from birth through to adulthood. – Sian Neubecker, Paediatric Occupational Therapist

I have heard of other towns that have a Special Needs Toy Library in place and have often thought of how amazing that would be and extremely helpful for my son, it now excites me to hear that this is one of the things All Abilities Mackay plan to have up and running. – KB – Parent

She seems to be linked in with many different bodies and is a great source of information. She is very eager to help the families of people with disabilities and I have many instances where she has helped me and my family. – DK - Parent
WOW - Thank you All Abilities Mackay. What did we all do before you existed??? The shower chair is VERY much appreciated!!! Can't beleve there are so many conditions/restrictions on the standard funding supports which make helping people with special needs extra difficult. All Abilities Mackay Inc is an amazing charity working tirelessly towards positive outcomes for the most special people in our community. Thank you thank you thank you!! - TB - Parent
